Ideas; Possible Plots

Plot Lines:

Main Character – DAVE

• DAVE was introduced to poker by a friend aged 16. He immediately fell in love with the game but never played properly. Until his friend came back to town and he started playing again. This lead to a gambling problem and this last game that has his life in the pot.
• DAVE is an average guy who hears about the game. His drink gets spiked therefore he starts to have hallucinations. This is all a big plot by the guy who started this game to get people’s money from the gullible players.
• DAVE is a highly religious guy who finds himself in a sticky situation which leads to him and this game. Due to gambling being against his faith he starts to see his conscience in the form of an angle and a devil.
• DAVE is a normal guy who has gone to Vegas and got himself into an underground game. He could be remembering the shining lights of Vegas whilst at the table and the angle and devil like characters are show girls he met earlier that night.
• DAVE has a tumour pressing against his brain. He is trying to win money for an operation to remove the tumour and finds himself in the last game. The tumour leads to him hallucinating the angel and devil like creatures.
• DAVE loves poker and it’s come down to the biggest game of his life; its vicious. Ballerina a metaphor for the game?
